Room-Temperature Antiferromagnetic Resonance and Inverse Spin-Hall Voltage in Canted Antiferromagnets

چکیده
We study theoretically and experimentally the spin pumping signals induced by resonance of canted antiferromagnets with Dzyaloshinskii-Moriya interaction demonstrate that they can generate easily observable inverse spin-Hall voltages. Using a bilayer hematite/heavy metal as model system, we measure at room temperature antiferromagnetic an associated voltage, large in collinear antiferromagnets. As expected for coherent pumping, observe sign voltage provides direct information about mode handedness deduced comparing hematite, chromium oxide ferrimagnet yttrium-iron garnet. Our results open new means to detect currents terahertz frequencies functionalizing low damping moments.

متن کاملCanted antiferromagnetic and spin singlet quantum Hall states in double-layer systems
We study double-layer quantum Hall systems at a total filling ν = 2ν1, where a single layer at filling ν1 forms a ferromagnetic, fully spin-polarized, chargegapped incompressible quantum Hall state. For the case ν1 = 1, a detailed Hartree-Fock analysis is carried out on a realistic, microscopic Hamiltonian. We find two new quantum Hall phases: one with a finite interlayer antiferromagnetic spin...
متن کاملSpin backflow and ac voltage generation by spin pumping and the inverse spin Hall effect.
The spin current pumped by a precessing ferromagnet into an adjacent normal metal has a constant polarization component parallel to the precession axis and a rotating one normal to the magnetization. The former is now routinely detected as a dc voltage induced by the inverse spin Hall effect (ISHE). Here we compute ac ISHE voltages much larger than the dc signals for various material combinatio...
متن کاملRoom-temperature quantum Hall effect in graphene.
The quantum Hall effect (QHE), one example of a quantum phenomenon that occurs on a truly macroscopic scale, has attracted intense interest since its discovery in 1980 and has helped elucidate many important aspects of quantum physics. It has also led to the establishment of a new metrological standard, the resistance quantum. Disappointingly, however, the QHE has been observed only at liquid-h...
متن کاملElectric-field-induced spin resonance in antiferromagnetic insulators: Inverse process of the dynamical chiral magnetic effect
We propose a realization of the electric-field-induced antiferromagnetic resonance. We consider threedimensional antiferromagnetic insulators with spin-orbit coupling characterized by the existence of a topological term called the θ term. By solving the Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert equation in the presence of the θ term, we show that, in contrast to conventional methods using ac magnetic fields, the...
